Na rozdíl od Divokého ohně (který výslovně říká opak), který funguje podobně na postavy, před efektem Politické katastrofy je možné zachránit. Vyberete tedy dvě lokace, které odhozené nebudou a odhodíte všechny ostatní, přičemž ty nevybrané je možné ponechat ve hře například díky odhození jejich duplikátu.
