Bárka nefunguje v rámci přípravy. Můžete ji použít, ale její efekt se nespustí a trojici karet v tomto případě nedostanete (viz heslo Příprava v Přehledu pravidel, bod 9). Naopak získáte negativní modifikátor příjmu pro pozdější kola.
